What CloudSnap is

CloudSnap provides AI-assisted cloud identification for education and general interest. Identifications are probabilistic: a result is the model's best reading of a photo, not a meteorological observation.

Not a weather service

CloudSnap is not a substitute for official weather forecasts, storm warnings, or aviation weather information. Never make safety decisions based on an identification from this site. If you see cumulonimbus (thunderstorm) clouds, follow official guidance.

Fair use

Daily identification limits apply per visitor and for the site as a whole. Automated scraping or attempts to bypass the limits are not allowed.

Cloud type reference texts are written from the WMO International Cloud Atlas genera framework. Gallery photos remain the property of their credited owners under the licences shown.
